We can also deal with multi-language commissions, making your life easier and freeing you up for other tasks because you know that your translation project is in the best hands.

Are the texts translated by native speakers?

Yes. According to the “native speaker principle”, all our translators translate from the foreign language into their mother tongue. This is vital to ensure the high-quality, readable translations that you can expect from us.

Does transcada check translations?

Yes. We operate according to the four-eyes principle, which means that a technical translator translates your text, and the translation is checked against the original text by another technical translator. This process is referred to as “revision” in the
ISO standard 17100.

What are Translation Memory Systems?

Translation Memory Systems (TMS) are software that helps translators do their job. Translations of each language pair are stored in segments, a process which produces a translation memory (TM). TMSs are a modern tool used to ensure that translations are consistent while also cutting costs and shortening delivery times.

Would you like to know the three ways in which you can benefit from the use of our TMs? If so, watch our video that explains how they work:

Which Translation Memory System does transcada use?

We use Trados Studio. Trados is the market leader in translation technology.

How can transcada guarantee high-quality translations?

Our technical translators are thoroughly tested before being added to our database. We only use highly experienced native speakers for all the languages we offer. Most of our linguists also have qualifications or professional experience in their particular field in addition to translation qualifications.

All our translations are also checked by a second technical translator.

As we operate according to ISO 9001 and ISO 17100, our performance is also monitored annually, both internally and by external auditors.

How long will it take for me to receive the translation?

The speed depends mainly on the length of the text. The best approach is for you to send us the text you want to have translated and let us know when you would like to have the translation. You can rely on our professional and efficient project management.

Is transcada a certified provider of translation services?

Yes. In fact, transcada is a pioneer when it comes to standards and was one of the first companies to be certified according to the international quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001 following the 2015 revision of that standard. We are also certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17100.

If you would like to find out what that means, go to our “ISO 9001” and “ISO 17100” pages.

Does transcada operate in accordance with ISO 17100?

Yes, all translations are produced in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17100.

This is checked and certified by an external auditor from “The Austrian Standards plus GmbH” who specialises in the translation industry. The certification seal “LICS” stands for Language Industry Certification System.

Since the auditors from this certification body know the translation industry inside out and some are even qualified translators themselves, they know exactly what to look out for during the audit.
